BNI FOCUS

Ivan wrote about the formula to transform you and your chapter, in his SuccessNet Article, 3+1=Member Success. As we close out our annual Membership Extravaganza, I wanted to take a moment to talk about BNI's keys as a recap of our recent events. The 4 main keys to BNI are 1) The Platinum Rule, 2) Structure, 3) Commitment, and 4) Education and Training! Let's look at each of these keys and then go back and check out our region's Vision of 40+6+4+4+1=$5500 and using the play book we recently added, Boot Camp! (which can be found within BNI Connect in the documents section) 

Platinum Rule

Most have heard of the Golden Rule, "do unto others as you would have done unto you" or as many joke "those who have to gold make the rules."
BUT the Platinum Rule is to treat others the way THEY want to be treated. In order to do this, there has to be knowledge of the person, they needed to know you better so they can treat you how you want to be treated. BNI's Philosophy, Givers Gain, goes hand-in-hand with this. 
Structure
No matter where you are in the world BNI has a proven structure that works, the BNI Agenda. Including, Open Networking, Weekly Presentations, Showcase Presentations, and Referrals &Testimonials.
BNI is structured in a way that results in BUSINESS, the B in BNI, for its members.
Commitment
Members are committed to supporting others in the chapter
Members are committed to being in attendance each week, or sending a substitute to keep their business top-of-mind
Members are committed to bring business to the other members once they get to know, like, and trust them.
Last but not least, BNI is committed to you, and more specifically your business, and part of that commitment is the Education and Training aspect of BNI.

There is ongoing training for the directors, leadership teams, and members alike.
Training includes how to get the business that you want, find referrals for other members, be a better networker, and maximize your referral marketing efforts.
