Last Month's installment asked: Are you doing your P.A.R.T? (Purpose, Accountable, Results, Teamwork)
Now that you are doing your P.A.R.T., what's next? Getting P.A.I.D. (Proud, Accountability, Individual Improvement, Details) More K.A.S.H. (Knowledge, Attitude, Skills, Habits)
Are you Proud? Proud of whom you are, what you do or represent, or are you proud of your chapter? We have found that when people have a sense of pride in something they want to tell others or share it. If you have pride in what you do or who you are and part of that is BNI, your business, then why not share it?
Next comes the Accountability piece again. Do you hold yourself accountable or do you have a partner that can help you? It starts with you, specifically your individual improvement.
What are you doing to Invest in you, your business, and even your chapter? If you can do more than find someone to help hold you accountable and you in return help someone else stay focused as well.
These are the Details. Who are you looking to meet, what is your target market, what profession is your chapter looking for, do you have your meeting scheduled out with a buffer to travel? (Just to name a few.)
Once you have done your P.A.R.T. to get P.A.I.D.… more K.A.S.H. is what you seek, right? Well this is not cash like you may think… K.A.S.H.
First it is Knowledge. Who do you know, who do they know, what are you looking for, what are they looking for?
We have all heard before Attitude is everything…let’s be accountable to ourselves once more. How is our attitude, personally and professionally, and of course part of our Business… BNI…
Do we have the Skills? If not, what do we need to work on and where can I work on it? MSP, CSW, ALT, Referral Institute, podcasts, successnet, businessnetworking.com, are all tools to work on our skills…
But are we making all of this Habit… the definition of habit is an acquired behavior pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary; a customary practice or use; a dominant tendency… So what are your habits… are you on time to meetings, do you come prepared to meetings, do you invest in yourself, do you share your experiences?
