There was a consistent message heard at this year's Chapter Success Workshops held throughout our region... it was growth - business and chapters. Yes, people consistently said they wanted to grow their business by growing their chapter membership.

Ivan talked in his blog, 3+1 = Members Success, about the fact that there is no one secret to BNI. The blog goes on to talk about Quality, Growth, and Engagement being the (3) core concepts and that Stories (+1) applies to all of those concepts.

My point in bringing this up is that we all are engaged in some manner in our chapter. The question is how engaged are we, and what are we getting out of that level of engagement? With the new Leadership wanting to focus on some growth, we decided it would be a great idea to help our chapters engage themselves on quality growth early on as the chapter's leaders. In order to do this we are holding a simple membership challenge from Monday, October 27th through Friday, December 19th, 2014.

You know the saying K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple Silly... Okay, maybe that is not the first thing that came to mind, but it is still true. This membership challenge will reward one member for every 25 new members that are sponsored into a BNI chapter in our region, with $250 right before the holidays.

It is really that easy.

Bring a visitor (engagement)...
They are accepted in your chapter (growth)...
You get entered into a drawing for $250, every time 25 new members are added.

So what about the stories? When you reach out to the quality individuals you want to bring to the chapter, to help grow your chapter and your business, tell them about the business you get from your fellow members, tell them how great they are, and share stories  about what separates them from their competition.
