Social media is the world we live in today. Life almost doesn’t exist unless you see it on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest or Snapchat, just to name a few. While it may seem like a ridiculous notion for some of us to post things on these social media platforms, it does serve a purpose in allowing your business to stay top of mind with those you are connected with, and it can do the same thing for your BNI chapter as well.

Every BNI Heartland chapter has a public Facebook page. If you’re not already actively involved on it, you should definitely look into this and make sure as many of your members as possible are actively participating.

Don’t miss out on all the ways your chapter can benefit from the additional exposure to all the contacts of the chapter members.

Here are a few examples of how your chapter can do that:

1.)  “Check in” on Facebook at your chapter meetings
2.)  “Check in” during your one to ones with other members
3.)  “Check in” at BNI events or events you are attending with other BNI members
4.)   Post & Share pictures of your chapter meetings on your chapters Facebook page
5.)   Post & Share pictures of the Feature Presenter with a testimony of that member
6.)   Post & Share pictures of the Notable Networkers for the month
7.)   Post & Share the fun meeting stimulants your chapter is doing for the week
7.)   Post & Share pictures of new and renewing members
8.)   Post & Share pictures of one to ones with members
9.)   Post & Share information and pictures of events your members are hosting
10.) Post & Share testimonials of good business experiences with fellow members
11.) Post & Share Success Stories of your members
12.) Post & Share your favorite BNI podcasts or blogs
13.) Post & Share pertinent, exciting news your chapter members may have
14.) Post & Share videos of weekly presentations
15.) Post & Share videos of inducting new members with a short bio
16.) Post & Share videos for special announcements

To give you an idea of the kind of impact this can have, a chapter in Sioux Falls does these things so well, that they have over 2000 views on some of the videos they have posted! Now, that is drawing some serious activity!

These are just a few ideas to get you started in drawing some attention to your chapter. You never know who might run across these posts in the social media world and who is out there looking for the same kind of success that you and your chapter members are experiencing.

When you start to create this kind of magnetic momentum, people won’t be able to deny their intrigue to the excitement your chapter has created. Don’t forget to share the chapter posts on your personal pages as well. This will help to reach even more people scrolling through their news feeds.
