Brandon Souba, Senior Area Director for BNI Heartland, works
with the region’s Area Directors through education and experience to assist
them to achieve success with members and chapters. In addition, Brandon helps
all the chapters in the Omaha Area. Prior to working with the Omaha area, he was
the Area Director for Lincoln and Sioux Falls for 2 years, where both areas had
positive growth and overall excitement for BNI.
We celebrated two chapters in Lincoln and one chapter in Sioux Falls for
membership growth to over 50 members!
Brandon grew up in the Omaha area with a supportive and
successful family. His father owns a food manufacturing plant and told him at a
young age “do not get into the food business.” So following his passion for
music, he attended Western Iowa Tech and received an Associate’s Degree in Band
Instrument Repair. After learning that a trade was not his calling in life, he
found a fantastic opportunity selling granite countertops, where he could perform
sales calls and truly help people create the kitchen of their dreams. After 8
years of success he decided to move on. As a member of BNI for 6 of the 8 years
while in the countertop business, and an Assistant Director 5 of the 6 years in
BNI, Brandon found training and presenting was his calling! As he was leaving
the countertop world, BNI Heartland had an opportunity to support an Area
Director after all of the regional growth.
Brandon and his wife of 6 years, Liz, have a 3 year old
daughter, Isabel, who keeps them busy with gymnastics! They have many friends
and family in town, but it is common that every few months they travel for
family living out of state. When not traveling for BNI or visiting family, family
time is the key to his success, as a
proud father and husband! Life is good!
His two favorite hobbies are roller blading during the
summer time and snowboarding during the winter months. This will help you
understand him when he is asking for snow and melting when it is 99 degrees out!
